Announcing: Duel Decks: Sorin vs. Tibalt

Hello Nurglings!

Guess what?

On the world of Innistrad, humans have always been pawns. For the mighty vampire families, humans are the source of blood and the foundation of their power. For the werewolf packs, humans are prey. For the ghouls and ghosts of the plane, humans are reminders of lives gone by, the despised living to be hunted and terrified. And for demons and devils, humans are targets for their hatred and torment.

Sorin was among the first generation of vampires created on Innistrad. He saw how his kind spread over the plane, feeding on and ultimately diminishing the populace. He argued for restraint, but the other vampire families resented his intrusion. Unknown to his kin, however, Sorin was a Planeswalker. He traveled the Multiverse searching for a solution to the grave situation on his home plane. Ultimately, he created the archangel Avacyn, a protector that would watch over the humans of Innistrad and serve as the symbol of hope. Thousands of years later, Innistrad is still afflicted with monstrous creatures, but thanks to Sorin’s intervention, the Avacynian Church continues to lend its protection to the world’s humans.

The fiendish mage Tibalt was born human, but immediately showed a predilection for inflicting pain. When a dark invocation caused his essence to be merged with infernal devils of Innistrad, his Planeswalker spark was ignited. He was free to traverse the Multiverse looking for new unfortunates to torment, but the innocent people of his native Innistrad were always his favorite victims.

Sorin, with his long-sighted, vampiric perspective, knows that humanity may lose its tenuous grip on survival if Innistrad’s monstrous forces hunt too recklessly. The young pain-mage Tibalt, on the other hand, respects no authority but his own vicious whims. As they clash, neither will tolerate anything but the utter defeat of his foe. Who will prevail is up to you.

Looking for writers! Let’s start a community/network!

Hello Nurglings!

A long time ago, I asked if there was anyone out there that would like to write for this blog. At the time I didn’t get that many readers and the ones that did come on here often probably weren’t bloggers themselves. But now the number of readers has been going up steadily (yay!). So I thought I would give this another chance. This time with a little more proper request.

What am I looking for?
– Anyone is welcome to leave a message here and tell me you’re interested! It doesn’t matter what gender, how old, or where you’re from. Just enjoy writing!

– You love games and gaming

– You love writing about games and gaming!

– If you already have a blog where you write regularly that is great!

– I’d love to see people that interested in any of the following; Card Gaming in general, YuGiOh, Miniature Gaming, nerdy things, “life of a gamer” issues/thoughts and ideas.

Something that’s important for you to know is that I’m not looking to steal time from your blog writing, if you have something that you’re posting on your blog that is interesting for gaming nerds I will simply share it on my blog as well. Sure I’d love to see you write something specific that would fit on here but it’s not a requirement.

What do I as a guest writer get out of this?
– Info/PR for you and your own blog! I will make a page specially for anyone that wants to share their writing on here. There you can write a small presentation on you with a link to your own blog! (Presentation is of course optional).

– Be a part of a bigger community. If this goes well, and we get a few bloggers together, there is no end to what this could become. Next step may be a website, YouTube and Twitter account under a collaboration name.

– This is a thing that’s supposed to be FUN! Always remember that.

What is this project?
– The whole idea with this project is to create a small community with writers/gamers and hobbyist that LOVE to share their thoughts on different subjects in gaming.

– This blog will be a spring board to share our articles and thoughts to work our way up in the blogging world.

– Together we can do great things!

– Most importantly, this project is supposed to be FUN. Not a goldmine, not a publicity stunt for anyone, but a fun project with an evolving community and goal.

So what are you waiting for? Already have something that you feel would be worth sharing? Leave me a message!
And if you have any questions? Leave me a message!

Until next time Nurglings, take care.

Return to Ravnica – Artwork Spoiler – Selesnya

Hello Nurglings!

Today they started posting pieces of the Ravnica story on Today’s subject was Selesnya, and merged in to that story were a few new pieces of artwork. People are already jumping to conclusions about these pieces and well… I feel that patience is our best friend right now.

Do… if we must think about it. Look at the first piece of artwork and think about the name:

Temple Garden. (?)

(To read more about Selesnya, and see the source of these images, go here:

Selesnya Attitudes Toward Other Guilds

Boros: “They shall tire of their fighting and, when they do, the gentle embrace of Selesnya will be waiting.”

Azorius: “One day, they will free their minds from foolish, external laws and learn to obey the voice of the Conclave.”

Rakdos: “Until they submit, they must be contained.”

Golgari: “These rot-grovelers could stand to learn more from our ways instead of mucking about with their bugs and death.”

Dimir: “A ghastly horde of disconnected murderers who never fully tasted life’s true gifts.”

Simic: “Warpers of life and nature whose downfall will be their lack of community and compassion.”

Gruul: “Such a waste… and a smelly, unreasonable, destructive waste at that.”

Izzet: “Tinkerers and meddlers under the control of one oppressive ego. Doomed for failure.”

Orzhov: “They are lost in a lifeless prison of their own individual ambitions.”

Until next time Nurglings, take care.

GenCon Netrunner Demo – recorded by

Hello Nurglings!

Some time ago I mentioned a game called Netrunner that is just being released. The game is released by Fantasy Flight Games and is a rework of an older game with the same name (if I remember correctly). It’s a LCG game much like Warhammer Invasion and if you’re interested check out the video below for a tutorial run of the game.

Hope you enjoyed!

MTG – Return to Ravnica – Game Day “Spoilers”

Hello Nurglings!

I say “spoilers” cause sadly, the images are so hard to read that it’s hard to actually call it spoilers (until we get a better picture). But it looks like we will get a Selesnya card and a Rakdos card. The Selesnya card seems to have converted mana cost of 1 and it’s hybrid mana (a mana that lets you choose between two colors when you pay for it).

On the Rakdos card, someone pointed out that it looks like it only got one “Type”. Aka not a creature. Creatures always have the word Creature followed by what kind of creature it is, this one does not. Why is that so special? Well it got a box for power and toughness. Maybe we’re getting more enchantment creatures in Return to Ravnica? Who knows.

Until next time Nurglings, take care.
