& hello Marathon Gaming fans!
Welcome to my MMORGP Max Level Challenge!
Because I know that many of you don’t really like reading, here is a video explaining it … somewhat:
And here we go in text form! So, the challenge as it is now is to complete 8 different MMORGP’s and by completing I mean reaching the max level with each of these games. Observe that I’m planning something different for The Secret World since it doesn’t really have a max level.
So the games are shown down below!
These games are not set in stone as it now, the games that I do not start may be replaced by something else if the VIEWERS want it. For me the games are currently written down and promised and I wont change them by my own will from now on. I have promised these games and I will stuck with them, and I wont change them just by one follwer/subscriber or viewer telling me to do so.
So how will this work?
LIVE STREAM & YOUTUBE
Everything will be recorded on the Marathon Gaming live stream (http://twitch.tv/MarathonGamingTV) and will be uploaded as parts on to YouTube. Everything will be uploaded to a playlist on YouTube by clicking the video up above you can find your way to our YouTube and that playlist.
Maplestory is the game with the higest level cap, and people seem to believe that I wont be able to reach max (I will tho, eventually…) but because of this, Maplestory will also be played outside of the stream. BUT everything will still be recorded and uploaded to YouTube just like the live recorded material. I may even stream it through my own challen on twitch.tv (http://twitch.tv/Nurgleprobe)
The blog will be updated about every second day of the challenge with levels, videos, progress highligths and whatever else I can come up with. I’m really dedicated and excited to start this challenge! 🙂
YOU CAN JOIN
Of course! If you have one of the games and want to join me, just hit me with a friend request! Will most probably start a guild/group in most of the games and everyone is welcome to join them to support my way to complete the MAX LEVEL CHALLENGE.
I’m doing this for fun, mostly to make something fun out of the stream that we’re currently running on twitch.tv (MarathonGamingTV) and I’m excited to do something special like this. I also wanted to have a goal with my gaming and not get stuck and think: What should I do now?
HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT?
Just spread the word and join in the fun when I’m online gaming. 🙂 Check the YouTube videos and hit all the subscribe and like buttons to let people know about it! I will be forever gratefull.
So that was it everyone, if you have any questions, please leave a comment here or send them to:

Something I need to start with: it can be expensive! It all depends on what you’re going to play, how much money you WANT to put into it and what the reason you have to play it. If you’re playing for fun with friends, the cost shouldn’t get out of hand, but if you wish to go to tournaments and do well at them, the cost may go up.
So a few things to remember are listed below, most of them are written with Trading Card gamers in mind, but I bet you can still find some useful tips.
It takes time.
Trust me this may not sound like a problem. Obviously you want your hobby or game to last for a long time and collectible games do that. You usually stick with them for a long time if you actually like them; the problem is not the time it takes to play, but the time it takes you to get where you want to be. For example, if you want to make one big awesome Warhammer army, it will take time to assemble that army, paint it and for some of us: just getting all those miniatures. If you’re prepared to be invested, you should do fine.
YOU must enjoy it.
This is not only about the game itself. When playing a game where you can go many different paths with your collection, you should ALWAYS stay true to yourself. If you like something within a game that people don’t consider fun or cool but you do, then stick with it. You should always do what you consider fun and never feel bad/weird about changing opinion on that.
You may start out thinking that a certain type of a deck in a card game or an army in a miniature game is awesome. And then through testing and experience find out that it wasn’t for you, then switch it up! Sell your older things and get new stuff that you enjoy instead, there is nothing wrong with that.
Where and when do you want to play?
This may not seem important, but where and when can change how you work out your hobby. Do you only play once every month with a few friends? Do you go to a gaming store and play tournaments and meet new people? If you do indeed play at home with buddies, you may not always need to get the best stuff for your Magic The Gathering deck or Warhammer army. As long as you and the people you play with have equally much fun, you should get along with playing what you want and how you want.
If you instead tend to go out and play with new people and play at tournaments and other events. You may want to learn how that feels first, make a small inexpensive start with the game. Try it out with new people; see if you actually enjoy the game mixed with that crowd. Some hobbies like Trading Card Gaming can be somewhat hard to get into at first, but once you get to know the people you will see that they’re mostly awesome.
It may end up… costing you.
Yup, as I said earlier, these kind of hobbies CAN be very expensive. But it’s an expense that you may not actually see. When you buy products you may think that it’s not a big deal, but much like smoking and other unhealthy habits you may find that all these small costs become a huge sum in the end.
Be smart with your buying, get things you KNOW you need instead of buying things that you THINK you need. When getting new things for your game, plan the buying before you actually do it. This way you will see ahead of time how much it will cost you and lets you think about, instead of impulse buying new things all the time.
This is true for the Trading Card Game player, even if your collection starts small you will surely have a few cards that other people are interested in. Keep a track of card values through websites and Ebay and do smart trading where you get the most value. This way you can trade yourself up and get better and better cards. This may take some time if you only have a small gaming group in your area, but I promise you that it’s worth it.
This was just a short list of… tips and thoughts, I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Until next time Nurglings, take care.
Okay, so I’m just going to share this announcement cause I love the setting of “Android”.
A world that actually started with the board game called Android, and has since then gotten plenty of products surrounding this world like books and most importantly: more games. This is one of them.
Let me share the announcement message with you.
Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of Android: Netrunner! Originally designed by Richard Garfield and released in 1996, Netrunner was widely hailed as one of the greatest customizable card games of its era. Now, with Android: Netrunner, players can look forward to revisiting the game’s exciting play… or experiencing it for the first time.
Android: Netrunner is an asymmetrical Living Card Game™ for two players. Set in the cyberpunk future of Android, the game pits a megacorporation and its massive resources against the subversive talents of lone runners. Corporation players try to score points by advancing their agendas, and netrunners try to score points by breaking through the corporation’s defenses and stealing valuable data. The first player to seven points wins the game, but not likely before he suffers some brain damage or bad publicity.
So I read that, and sure that sounds like a good pitch and all. But what really got me into it, was the awesome artworks and feel! If any of you played the old RPG Shadow Run and enjoyed that world, you will love this. Sadly there is no magic in the mix, but the world still excites me in the very same way.
I know a certain person that probably won’t be able to stay away from this game (he truly loves the Android universe), and when he gets this, I will be testing the hell out of it! I will be sure to tell you what I think about it once I do.
Until next time Nurglings, take care.
Oh how I love you Nurglings, every single one of you guys! The ones of you that just come here to see something specific, the ones of you that clicked an image I’ve made for this blog, the ones of you that actually returns to read the bloc, the ones of you that comment, my friends, my lady, every single one!
Today I passed the magic number of 100.000 unique readers, and that’s all thanks to you guys. I will try and do my best to reach 200k, and I will let you know the day that I do. With content that may vary from time to time depending on my mood and what I’m currently doing in life.
But I will try and stay Nurgle ❤

Hello my Nurglings!
Just wanted to give a small heads up on a few new things I will be posting on here in the future. Currently there are quite a few board and card games out there… okay there are hundreds and hundreds of them out there. Some of these games face the inevitable balance problem. Effects and/or cards being too strong that creates a annoying game.
In the future I will be posting house rules for different games that me and friends have tried out and written down. So that you can try them out and re-balance the games that you may have issues with. What is a House Rule? Well it’s basicly a rule that you yourself create with your gaming group, either to make the game more fun or balance it in a new and better way.
Not sure when the first House Rule post will be made or what game it will be, but I’m hoping soon!
Until next time, take care Nurglings.
PS: If there is any special game that you would like us to take a look at and create some house rules for just comment!
Hello my Nurglings!
Since the whole Card Dome idea is down for now, as you may have noticed by the blogs’ change of name (front page). I’ve been thinking about all the things I would like to blog about, recently there have been a few digital game related things that I wanted to mention but it felt wrong to put it all up here when I promised that I would blog about card games. But then again…
Until next time, take care.
Oh, I already wish that I could sit down and enjoy the world of Guild Wars 2, and thanks to a comment here on the blog that linked me to another blog, I just want to play it even more. The alias of the person zakgrin told me to check out his blog about Guild Wars 2, and I did, the first video I found there just put me in a huge GW 2 mode again. Come on! Work faster! Or… no, take the time you need to make it awesome! But… maybe faster?
Have a look. Also take a look at the blog that will be filled with the latest Guild Wars 2 goodies: http://guildwars2insider.wordpress.com
