Nurgleprobe’s TOP 10 – Boardgames I want to get!
Capitalism, ho! Yea this is one of the weirdest top 10 lists I’ve done in the longest time, ignoring the fact that it was a very very long time since I did a top 10. So in the following list I will present to you, the top 10 games that I want to add to my collection (but because of reasons they’re not in it yet). Let go through the games and tiny motivations to why I have them in my top 10 list of “boardgames I want to add to my collection”.
At spot nr 10.
10. Warhammer 40k: Conquest
I’ve always been a huge fan of trading card games, but recently, I’ve decided to stop playing them and switch to LCG and other collectible games where you know the contect of the expansions (this mostly because of the huge money-sink feeling of TCGs). Conquest have the setting of one of my favorite sci-fi worlds and the gameplay appeals to me in may different ways. Planets to fight over, a joint goal from both sides and hidden movement. And being a part of a LCG in its early days is something that I would love, being able to get the new cards as they are released and learn as the game expands. Conquest together with Netrunner will be my “go to” card games from now on, thanks FFG!
9. Android
This is not the most popular boardgame in the world, it’s long, have plenty of tiny rules and things to keep in your head and that may not appeal to everyone. BUT I just love how all the mechanics and gameplay creates a story for the character you’re playing. Everything is put in to the game to connect you to the story and world of Android. This universe has a huge appeal to me, and it’s not by chance that I got the other two games set in the same one.
8. Chaos in the old World
This is one of those games… when you sit down and play it, you love it. But then as soon as you leave the table, you hardly remember how the game played. You just remember everything about it feeling thematicly awesome. You play as one of the four chaos gods from the Warhammer Fantasy universe and try to corrupt the old world with your evil powers and followers. I love this game and I really do want it on my shelf. Also… my nickname is Nurgle and in this game… I can not only be called Nurgle around the table, but also PLAY Nurgle. LOVE IT.
7. Tanto Cuore: Oktoberfest
All of you out there can play your Dominions and your Thunderstones, but I will stick around with my maid game Tanto Cuore. This game is loved by both me and my girlfriend and we will never say no if it’s pulled out on to the table. This cute deckbuilder puts you in the master positions of a house that you need to hire maids for… to serve you. The art is very cutesy and even tho it puts of a LOT of players, I hav not played with a single Dominion fan that have not liked this game. Behind the manga style art there is a great deckbuilder. Do not miss out on this game just because you turn your head on the theme. Oh and Oktoberfest is the fourth release in the Tanto Cuore franchise. As soon as it’s out there I’m getting it! (Yea it’s not released yet and already on my list… hm).
6. Fury of Dracula
This is one of those games that have been asking for another print run for the longest time. Or well, people around the world have been asking for it. I’ve wanted to get Fury of Dracula for many many years, but when I finally started with my boardgame hobby, this game was already long gone and in the safe hands of board game collectors everywhere (and I don’t know a single one of them apparantly). One player takes the role as dracula moving secretley around a board while the other players takes the role of vampire hunters trying to track him down. A out of print game that I would love to get my hands on.
5. Battlestar Galactica
You may not know this but one of my favorite board games of all times is “The Resistance”, a game with secret identities where you try to figure out which players are trying to make your life harder. Battlestar Galactica is a cooperative board game where there may be players working against you. There is plenty of things happening in this game and everyturn there are situations that you and the other players have to solve. Will you make it through or is there players working against you stopping you from progressing, or is it just that you can’t complete it anyway? A great game that everyone should try. I have not yet played with the expansions but I’m looking forward to it.
4. Cosmic Encounter
I’ve played this game two times. And those two games had a huge impact on me, I love how everyone plays a race with a very distinct special power and how the gameplay is so inredibly simple. Even tho if there is a simple base to this game, everything above that is huge. You have to communicate, try and create agreements with other players, figure out when to help and when to backstab and just PLAY it. I NEED this game in my collection.
3. Mall of Horror
I’ve played the new “version” of this game called City of Horror. Sadly that new version is lacking, especially when it removed a key element of the old game: hidden voting. It was one of the best parts! You could discuss with players, make deals, but then you make that secret vote and do something completley different to what you just promised. Every player wants to stay in the game, but you can not do so by playing it alone (or by playing nice). Communicate your way to your goal and keep your survivors alive in the mall before the zombies comes a’ knockin’.
2. Dead of Winter
I love zombies. I love hidden traitors. I love discussing. I love story elments. This game put some of my favorite elements from games mentioned in this list and made a game out of it. I CAN NOT WAIT to get this game out on the table with a group of players and try to beat them down as the traitor…. you know… if I end up being the traitor. I’ve been waiting to get this game for a long time and as soon as it is back in stock in my local store I will be all over it.
1. Twilight Imperium 3
Epic. Epicness. Epic sci-fi madness. I have not yet played this game. But everytime I see a review of it, everytime I see the gameplay, everytime I feel like playing a long and epic game, Twilight Imperium 3 just pops up in my head. There is so much I think I would enjoy about this game, the space battles, diplomacy, technology, special abilities. MAN. This game. Is something I want to display and have my buddies that enjoy sci-fi just go: WHAT. LET’S PLAY THAT ONE. And I will do it, everytime. I mean… if we have 5-6 hours to spend.
Nurgleprobes nerdy goals for 2015!
To start of, I suck at promising myself things that I will do and then actually stick it with. Somethings I can manage easily throughout a certain amount of time but I usualy end up braking a patern and then it’s hard to get back in to it again. This really goes for any kind of promise or life decision.
Buuuuut I like making them! So instead of a: you must do this kind of thinking. I will instead do a list of things that I wish to have done during 2015 or at least attempted. No matter how much of this I do or finish I will still feel good if I just get a single thing done. So, here we go.
During 2015 I want to do the following! (In no specific order…)
1. Do an actually first draft/alpha version on one of my boardgame ideas.
2. Start doing boardgame review videos! (Alone or with a group).
3. Play in a Store Championship for a FFG game (Netrunner, Conquest etc.)
4. Get a new computer! (Can you really set this as a goal?)
5. Maaaaybe start doing a bit of streaming (again)(Like really… AGAIN)
6. Start a kickstarter, for any kind of project that has been in my head for years
7. Apply to a certain schoooool (top secret, very good, wow)
8. Get at least 10 new board games from my BG-wishlist (probably easiest on the list … )
9. Try and beat my previous best blog year (300.000 hits)
And those are the ones that I can come up with right now. Probably will put more on this list as time goes by, but for now this will do!
Until next time, take care Nurglings.
Cya soon!
Update later tonight! What… yea I’m still here!
Hi Nurglings!
Well yes of course I’m still alive!
Do not worry, just becuase the updates are slow doesn’t mean that I’m not here. I will even be posting a guest article that was given to me well.. some time ago and it will be a bit of in time but I do have a promise to my guest writers if they do wan’t to post stuff. And once again, I’m sorry for vanishing the way I did there for some time.
But as you may remember I’m currently investing a lot of time in the project: Marathon Gaming! And with everything going on there it’s time to push out blog posts.
And I do not wan’t to push them!
But as it is now, I will actually use my personal blog as an outlet for a challenge that I’m currently running for myself on the MGTV stream. More info on that will be posted here tonight!
And of course, more MTG stuff later on tonight as well!
Stay tuned Nurglige.
Until next time, take care.
Cya soon!

So we got here last night around 8 pm. Trev and I wasted no time in the getting to no people and suddenly start playing random games. He got sucked into a random game of the PAX deck bulding game while I played a few people in Magic. I had so much fun and I found some really good thing out about my R/G deck which was useful.
Speaking of decks, I promised a B/G exalted deck, didn’t I? Well it has been tweaked and fixed and hopefully will work well now.

4 Duty Bound Dead
4 Tormented Soul

4 Vampire Nighthawk
1 Predator Ooze
2 Duskmantle Prowlers

That is what I have right now.. I’m debating playing this or my Wolves deck, which has also been going through some adjustments. Hoping to get through some more games today and figure out which one works better and go from there. Anyway, off to get badges and our day two!

Looking for writers! Let’s start a community/network!
Hello Nurglings!
A long time ago, I asked if there was anyone out there that would like to write for this blog. At the time I didn’t get that many readers and the ones that did come on here often probably weren’t bloggers themselves. But now the number of readers has been going up steadily (yay!). So I thought I would give this another chance. This time with a little more proper request.
What am I looking for?
– Anyone is welcome to leave a message here and tell me you’re interested! It doesn’t matter what gender, how old, or where you’re from. Just enjoy writing!– You love games and gaming
– You love writing about games and gaming!
– If you already have a blog where you write regularly that is great!
– I’d love to see people that interested in any of the following; Card Gaming in general, YuGiOh, Miniature Gaming, nerdy things, “life of a gamer” issues/thoughts and ideas.
Something that’s important for you to know is that I’m not looking to steal time from your blog writing, if you have something that you’re posting on your blog that is interesting for gaming nerds I will simply share it on my blog as well. Sure I’d love to see you write something specific that would fit on here but it’s not a requirement.
What do I as a guest writer get out of this?
– Info/PR for you and your own blog! I will make a page specially for anyone that wants to share their writing on here. There you can write a small presentation on you with a link to your own blog! (Presentation is of course optional).– Be a part of a bigger community. If this goes well, and we get a few bloggers together, there is no end to what this could become. Next step may be a website, YouTube and Twitter account under a collaboration name.
– This is a thing that’s supposed to be FUN! Always remember that.
What is this project?
– The whole idea with this project is to create a small community with writers/gamers and hobbyist that LOVE to share their thoughts on different subjects in gaming.– This blog will be a spring board to share our articles and thoughts to work our way up in the blogging world.
– Together we can do great things!
– Most importantly, this project is supposed to be FUN. Not a goldmine, not a publicity stunt for anyone, but a fun project with an evolving community and goal.
So what are you waiting for? Already have something that you feel would be worth sharing? Leave me a message!
And if you have any questions? Leave me a message!
Until next time Nurglings, take care.

Nerd Calendar – 5th – Nerd Christmas Bead Guides / Sprites!
Hello my Nurglings!
Guess what, we nerds love our beads… right? Just look at these amazing nerd creations!
(Above creations by: NerdCraft on deviantart.com )
So anyway, today for my Nerd Calender I thought I would do a few Bead Guides for you all to use. So that you can do cool creations like the ones above (not as cool but cool none the less). Of course they had to fit with the Christmas season. So with a little picture editing and fixing (it took longer than I thought actually, not used to using the bead converters), I ended up with two creations that you are free to take and use yourselves. If you end up doing so, please share your creations! Even if you’ve done something else that’s awesome, I wouldn’t mind if you shared that with us as well.
Here they are: (Yes they’re big, you need something big to do until Christmas so 😉 )
Until next time, take care!

Pokémon + House = True!
Hello my Nurglings!
I know, there’s been allot of youtube on here lately, in fact my three last post is now video related. I guess videos are fun so I don’t know why you would mind, but sometimes you want something to read I guess. But hey, I feelt like I had to mention this.
First of all, there is a Pokémon named Arceus. This is how it looks:
Now look at this clip and hear how House himself mention this Pokémon, awesome!
Until next time, take care.
